Florian and Andriu wanted to celebrate their engagement with some gorgeous photos at the sand dunes out at Death Valley! We started with a cozy in-home session at their new home that they had just bought together! Then, we went to the Mesquite Flat sand dunes in Death Valley National Park just before sunset. We had the most dreamy golden hour for photos full of gorgeous sun flares. Here are a few highlights and favorites from this Death Valley sand dunes engagement!
Death Valley Sand Dunes Engagement
Our session was in the middle of June (which kind of had us rethinking the location for a little bit!) but we were lucky enough to have one of the coolest days of the whole summer! It was about 20 degrees cooler than any other day that week so I think we got kind of lucky. The heat out in Death Valley is definitely no joke, so winter sessions here are always preferable. We don’t want everybody dripping in sweat in the photos! Although we didn’t get much of a sunset this day, we did have the prettiest light all evening. I am such a sucker for a good sun flare in my photos, anyone else!?
