This chapel elopement in Downtown Vegas with Kirsty and Lisa was so much fun! This couple flew in from the UK ready to party on their elopement day. The trip to Vegas was originally planned as Lisa’s birthday celebration but they both decided they might as well tie the knot as well while in town! These two just really wanted to have fun on their elopement day which always makes for the best photos. We had a blast getting drinks together and shooting all over Downtown Vegas. After the chapel, we went to downtown Vegas to shoot near Fremont. We didn’t realize until we got there that there was a racing festival taking place on Fremont Street that day, so we improvised! We drove to the first street that wasn’t blocked off with vendors and decided to shoot near there. Then, I remembered that a little record shop was only a block away from where we were and I thought that would be perfect for Kirsty and Lisa! It totally fit their vibe and they spent our time there searching for some of their favorite artists.
After the record shop, we walked to Atomic Liquors, the oldest bar in Las Vegas! We all got drinks and spent some time just hanging around the bar. When we finished our drinks, we started walking towards Fremont Street for some photos with all of the neon lights! This was their first time in Vegas, and I think the Downtown/Fremont area is the best place to go if you’re looking for true ‘Vegas vibes’. Even more so than the Las Vegas Strip!
I won’t lie, having the streets all blocked off for the racing festival was kind of fun because we could shoot right in the middle of all the streets without worrying about traffic! Plus, Kirsty and Lisa were getting all kinds of cheers and congratulations from the crowds of people. We really love weddings here in Las Vegas!
