I really can’t explain to you how much I love living in the American Southwest. It’s so beautiful here, everywhere you look is picture perfect! Ever since I moved to Las Vegas I have absolutely loved going out location scouting and finding all of the best spots for my clients. Whether you’re looking for a flashy city vibe, desert vibes, or even mountains, Las Vegas has it all. Here are some of my favorite photo locations in Las Vegas, perfect for your next session!
Photo Locations in Las Vegas
Neon Museum
The Neon Museum is one of the most popular photo locations in all of Las Vegas. Everyone loves the neon signs (how could you not!?) and it just absolutely screams Las Vegas! There is a fee to take photos here and you must reserve a photo shoot time with the museum, but it’s so worth it!
Mount Charleston
Mount Charleston is the perfect quiet escape from the city. It’s one of the few outdoor photo locations that’s not desert landscape and has beautiful mountains instead. It’s also one of the few places that you’ll be able to find snow in Las Vegas!
Downtown Las Vegas (Old Vegas)
Downtown Las Vegas has a little bit of everything. Neon lights, murals, iconic hotels and casinos. You name it, downtown has got it. I love shooting here during golden hour when all of the lights are on and the sun is hitting the buildings with that gorgeous, warm and sunny glow.
Fremont Street
I love shooting near Fremont Street because there’s something unique and fun on every corner! All of the lights that Vegas has to offer, street performers, and of course lots of strangers offering to buy you drinks because you just got married!
Arts District
The Arts District is one of my favorite places to shoot in Las Vegas for laidback sessions. There are so many fun bars that we can pop into for photos, and obviously, a great view of the Strat!
In-N-Out Burger
There’s really no better way to end your trip to Las Vegas than with a stop at In-N-Out! It’s also one of the cutest photo spots just because of how iconic it is. Cute photos AND french fries!? You can count me in every time.
Near Red Rock Canyon
One of the main reasons I love shooting just outside of Red Rock Canyon is because it’s just as beautiful as the actual park or even Valley of Fire.. BUT it doesn’t require a permit for photos! It has all of the beautiful red rocks but also lots of cacti and grassy areas which make it the perfect backdrop for photos.
Airbnb / In-Home Session
In-home couples sessions are so fun (whether they’re in your actual home or in a cute Airbnb!) because you can make your session exactly what you want it to be! You can lounge by the pool together, slow dance in the kitchen while eating pizza, or play around in the bedroom!
The ‘Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas’ Sign
One of the most iconic locations in Las Vegas for photos! The great thing about photos at the sign is that it looks great early in the morning, in the middle of the day, and even at nighttime.
Tule Springs
The most underrated desert spot, in my opinion. The views here are just unbeatable, and you never have to deal with crowds of people like in other locations!
Seven Magic Mountains
If you’re looking for something colorful and fun, Seven Magic Mountains is the place to go. This unique art installation is just outside of Las Vegas and makes for absolutely dreamy photos at sunrise!
Somewhere Unique!
Honestly, who doesn’t want to elope at a roller rink!? OR you can reserve the place for an hour and do a super fun couples session with the whole place to yourselves!
How about a bowling alley!? You can reserve a vip suite at Red Rock Lanes and party the night away!
Nelson Ghost Town
I love the ghost town because it’s so unique! It’s surrounded by cacti, classic cars, and old, rustic buildings. My favorite part is the crashed airplane! There’s even a cute chapel and wedding arch for elopements. If you’re looking for a desert backdrop with all kinds of unique photo opportunities, the Ghost Town is one of my favorite options.
Dry Lake Bed
The El Dorado Dry Lake near Boulder City has one of my favorite views for photos, hands down. It’s the perfect place to bring a classic car (the best photo prop!), dance around with your partner while the sun goes down, and blast whatever music your heart desires.
Literally Anywhere On the Strip
If you’re wanting those iconic Las Vegas photos, the strip is the place to do it. So many neon lights, famous signs, and just everything that screams Las Vegas. I love shooting on the Las Vegas Strip at sunrise because there are basically no other people out at that time so we almost always have the whole place to ourselves while we shoot!
