This Hawaii beach elopement was so absolutely dreamy and so much fun! When I first got this inquiry from Hailey, I definitely screamed with excitement. I had been dying to shoot an elopement in Hawaii for so long (and also looking for a good reason to go back)! You guys know I’m always down to travel, so I was instantly in. The ceremony took place on the beach at Waialae Beach near Waikiki, and we headed to Kualoa Regional Park after for some foggy, moody mountain photos. We started out with all the potential for a crazy, chaotic day. The morning started out with pouring rain and we had a last second location change, but everything fell into place just perfectly and made for such a great day. We even had a tiny little rainbow show up for us while we were shooting on the beach! I guess rain on your wedding day really is good luck!? Here are some favorites and highlights from this Oahu, Hawaii beach elopement!
Hawaii Beach Elopement
Polaroids are always the best souvenir to take home from your wedding day! It’s so great to have an instant keepsake from such a special moment, so I always try to include a few at weddings and elopements. Plus, they help make the detail shots look a bit more beautiful as well! The lace that we used for the backdrop here was actually Hailey’s dress laid on top of a picnic table after they frolicked around in the water for a bit (whatever you have to do to get the shot!) haha!
